Executive Team
Selva Calixto
CEO and Founder
Selva Calixto leads initiatives to promote energy efficiency, renewable energy adoption, and the reduction of environmental impacts. She has over nine years of expertise in renewable energy technologies, energy planning, scenario modeling, and feasibility studies, including waste-to-energy projects and district heating systems.
Prior to founding Sustainable Heating, her research focused on developing an innovative model to assess the technical, economic, and environmental performance of ambient-temperature district heating systems. She has contributed to European projects and international research collaborations in the United States.
She holds an MS in Environmental Engineering from Columbia University and a Ph.D. in Energy Engineering from Politecnico di Milano.
Luis Salgado
Strategic Operations Advisor
Luis Salgado specializes in opening new markets, negotiating contracts, and building strategic partnerships to advance sustainable energy projects. He has a solid background in driving business development and market expansion in IT solutions and energy systems.
Prior to Sustainable Heating, Luis secured key contracts with banks, financial institutions, and government entities for advanced security and IT services as Founder and CCO of Teleantena. At Binaria CGE Energy Group, Spring Global, and Entel-TIM, he successfully expanded market share in the mining, utilities, and retail sectors, delivering strategic sales solutions and securing significant contracts. Earlier in his career, at Novell, AT&T, and NCR, he negotiated major agreements in banking and retail, focusing on telecommunications and systems integration.
Luis holds a BS degree and an MS in Electronic and Communications Engineering from the Federico Santa María Technical University and a Graduate Diploma in Strategic Sales Management, Business School, Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez.
